I know, he’s leaving the London 2012 Olympics with the most medals anyone has won, anywhere, ever.  But c’mon.  He’s what?  27?  What’s he supposed to do next?  What’s Michael Phelps’ next chapter supposed to be?  How does he top what he’s done so far?  What do you strive for when you’ve reached the very pinnacle you sought at such a young age?  And aren’t the media types a little too excited about his accomplishments?  They seem to be anticipating his “inevitable” tailspin.

Mr. Phelps’ family seems great.  At least in the five minute Ryan Seacrest interview that aired on American television.  His mom is down to earth, his sisters are really funny.  I hope they continue to emotionally support him as he explores the next stage of his life and career.
