About

Just getting started at starting over.  We’re a household filled with raging teenage hormones, diminishing midlife hormones, and hairballs.  Blogging is another new frontier for me and I’m learning as I go.  That header picture, yeah, not my house.  As soon as I find the tutorial on how to change it, I will.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hi! I just wanted you to know I have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Someone nominated me today and I had to pick 10 others – you’re one of them because I enjoy your posts. To participate, there are some rules to follow which you probably know if you have received an award before. Otherwise stop by my blog and see the rules. It’s of course up to you if you want to participate. Have a nice day!

  3. I’ve nominated you for one of those blogging awards. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts, so you can take it or leave it (some people don’t like them). I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your kids!

    • Awww, thank you so much! I’m terrible about doing the things that awards ask, so please don’t be offended if I forget…or don’t get to it for, like, months. I truly appreciate the honor. Even if I suck at the acceptance!

    • Hi Renee,

If you live in California, hormones are now required to be covered in *all* insurance plans in the state. If you’re not in CA, then the Rite Aid discount Rx program has the best prices that I could find. I’ve heard from other moms that the best prices for T are online. If you’re looking for T, let me know and I’ll ask for more specifics to pass on.

Very best wishes to your family and thanks for stopping by!

      • An update: both Walmart and Albertson’s MyRxCare generic programs now cover hormones in their $4/30 day supply programs, making them an even better price than Rite Aid. Be sure to check the various pharmacies in your area and their generic programs; new drugs are always being added.

  7. Hiya! L.O.V.E. the title of your blog! I am a single mom who has 1 kid, 1 dog, 1 frog, 1 horse, 2 cats, 2 fish, and 3 divorces….in other words, I manage a mini-zoo and did my best to keep up with Liz Taylor (but, finally decided it wasn’t for me). All giggling aside (for a little while), I look forward to reading more about your journey, as I’m sure there are many similarities from one single mom to another. 🙂 -Kasey (SWM)

    • Hi and thanks for your kind words — you’ve got quite a few somethin’s going on, don’t you?!? I’m chuckling over the 2 cats *and* 2 fish…in my house, the 2 fish wouldn’t last long. One cat would try to eat ’em, the other would “befriend” them. Either way, not a good place to be finned!
